5 Apps You Need If You're Diving Into Crypto

So, you know you’re ready to take the leap into crypto, but you have no idea what apps to download or how to even use it & with the cryptocurrency language barrier getting wider each day, the last thing you want to do is drown in a pool full of articles.

I get it, & whilst I believe in always self-educating yourself when it comes to topics such as crypto, more often than not it can be quite an overwhelming mine field to navigate.

This is why I thought I would bring together 5 apps that you need when starting your journey into the universe that is crypto.

Each app suggestion follows a question I have commonly heard when starting out in the crypto space.

So, without further a do - let’s begin.

How do I buy Crypto?

In simple? You Need A Trading App.

So, you need a trading app for your crypto trading.

I’m going to recommend Binance here, however, there are a plethora of other trading apps & I would always suggest doing your own research. However, for ease of access & possibly because it’s my go to trading app - let’s stick with Binance.

Binance is an online exchange where users can trade cryptocurrencies, their vision is to increase the freedom of money globally & by spreading this freedom, they can significantly improve lives around the world.

Binance not only provides a crypto wallet for those trading to store their electronic funds, but it also has supporting elements which help users earn interest or transact using crypto.

There are ways to earn passive income, trade, withdraw your funds, store & manage your crypto.

Next up, knowing what to buy.

How do I track crypto prices?

In simple? Download the CoinMarketCap app.

CoinMarketCap is known as the world's most-referenced price-tracking website for cryptoassets.

Their mission is to make crypto super discoverable and efficient, providing accurate information on crypto to allow you as the buyer to make your own informed choices.

The app can be utilised using their free basic plan, however there are paid options for more advanced elements.

The way in which they get their information is by taking data from numerous exchanges in order to give you an average price.

This app is by far one of the most useful places when looking to grasp an overview of the cryptocurrency market.

How do I buy Ethereum?

In simple? You need the MetaMask app.

MetaMask is a a crypto wallet & gateway to blockchain apps.

You can;

  • Purchase Ethereum.
  • Buy, store, send and swap tokens.
  • Explore blockchain apps.
  • Own your data (you are in control of what you share & what you don’t).

If you are interested in purchasing NFTs, this is where you want to be.

The reason for this is when purchasing NFTs, there are various ways to purchase as it depends completely on the asset you're looking to buy, however, for simplicity and for the complete beginner, you only need to focus on one for now - which I prefer to start with Ethereum.

& to purchase ETH, you need MetaMask.

How do I build a decentralised financial portfolio?

In simple? You need the Zerion app.

Zerion is the easiest way to build and manage your entire DeFi portfolio from one place.

Zerion states that you can explore the Metaverse from one place, through them.

Whether you’re looking to buy DeFi tokens or NFTs, Zerion has created a way to search, filter and evaluate every asset on the market.

It’s global, free, secure & open to anyone.

You can manage, trade, research & buy all through this one app - all you need to do is connect your wallet.

How do I find other people interested in crypto or NFTs?

In simple? You need to get onto the Telegram app.

Community is key for your own growth and the growth of your crypto, you can learn, access new projects and be at the forefront of your own crypto management just through being part of a community.

Telegram is a freeware, cross-platform, cloud-based instant messaging service. It provides end-to-end encrypted video calling, VoIP, file sharing and several other features.

Similar in a sense to Whatsapp, this chat app has blown up recently when creating supergroups - talking all things crypto, NFTs, projects, trading & memes.

Find the ones you feel most comfortable in as some can be quite overwhelming.
